Fava Bean Seeds Planting Information: Soak the seeds overnight in warm water. Plant the seeds outdoors directly in the garden February and April when you plant peas. Fava beans can handle cold weather down to 20 F, but they can not take hot summers. In the South, Fava beans do well when planted in the fall, between October and November, or in the early spring in March. Plants can grow 12 to 72" tall. |
