Had a bad year. Planted these late and watering was inconsistent and we still got a lot of beautiful, delicious tomatoes that dried up almost like candy. Will plant again, and threat them better. :D

Excellent prolific drying tomato. I dried these and then put them in olive oil with italian spices. Flavor was scrumptious all winter long in salads, soups and dressings. Gave as gifts with two or three recipes attached.

The Borghese is NOT a sauce tomato. At one time historically, it was the most widely used tomato in Italy for sun-drying. It is ideal for this purpose....or for dehydrating.

Great production, not a good tomato for making sauce in my opinion-too small...great for salads, diced in recipes, and drying!
