It is a classic heirloom butterhead lettuce variety prized for its versatility, reliability, and ability to be grown across much of the growing season. It is crisp and flavorful. This variety can be sown in most locations from March through August for a nearly year-round harvest. Suitable for spring and fall planting. Slow to bolt. Does well in hot and cold weather.
