We grew this melon summer 2023.  The melons change color when ripe, smell heavenly and were, without a doubt, the best melons we have grown or eaten, ever. One seed may have been a sport with smaller melons that did not seem to conform to type, but the other plants produced large melons with seed cavities that seemed solid, and flesh that was absolutely amazing.  Recommend without hesitation.

There is not a better tasting melon. I wish growers would produce the Ambrosia, but it has its challenges, such as a short shelf life. That makes it an excellent variety for a personal garden. It loves fertile soil, warm weather, rain and good drainage. It's a very aggressive plant, as are most melons. And they get huge.

I grow no other cantaloupe. Ambrosia is far and away the best flavored cantaloupe on the market. The flavor is superb, the flesh is soft, production is excellent.

This is the best tasting canteloupe that I have ever eaten in my life, and I'm not exaggerating. One bite, and you'll feel like you've died and gone to canteloupe heaven. They are going to be planted in every garden I have as long as the seeds are sold.

There has never been a better cantaloupe for pure flavor!  Burpee is the only place we have found this heavenly fruit seed and we usually have 100% germination.
