Fantastic tomato for high temperatures. Heavy producer, with no problems at all. The San Marzano plot had major problems with blossom end rot. The Heatwaves had no trace of it even though they were on the same watering system. They did well despite the 110+ daytime (85+ nightime) degree temps here in the Las Vegas valley. The last ripening fruit will only ripen to a reddish orange due to the heat affecting the reddening hormone, but it does not affect the flavor. I started them indoors from seed, transplanted to larger pots and hardened them off on the back porch. The 12" plants were in the ground in early March surrounded with with "Walls o' Water" mostly for wind protection. When the Nevada sun started to become intense, the beds were covered with shade cloth.
I will definitely plant the again next year.
