This is an easy to grow bean that does well here in southwestern Pennsylvania. I always plant lots of them. The stunning red flowers look beautiful growing around and thru my deck rails and anything they can climb.. Hummingbirds are frequent visitors to the bean flowers. When the temperature gets to be around 90 the flowers begin to drop, but it will continue to bloom until frost. My bean pods are approx 10" long with 5-6 really large black bean with splashes of pink on them. The shelled beans are quite delicious fresh or dried. I recommend.
