I love the stronger flavor of home grown celery. These seeds came up just fine for me, I sowed them in cells barely pushed down onto the surface of some potting soil, then covered the cells with plastic wrap until germination. They were up in about 10 days, and looked very spindly and weak for another 2 weeks, but then they just took off. I didn't dare thin them out during those first 2 weeks for fear of completely killing them. Once they got going though they were very strong. Transplant right around last frost date, and mulch with at least 3" of organic material to help keep moist. The dryer the growing condidtions for celery the stronger the celery flavor. So keep well watered.
