This was my first year to grow big beef variety and I was really pleased. It did great here on Texas gulf coast  in the heat and humidity.  Produced huge clumps of large tomatoes. Not a bad one in the bunch. It' was proclaimed best tasting by family members. I will definitely plant again.

Best Beefsteak type in my garden so far. Plants are healthy and enormous. Tomatoes are large eye candy and delicious.

I've planted at least 20 different varieties of slicers over the last 25 years. In my opinion, none can match the Big Beef for it's combination of taste, disease resistance, ease of growing, good quantity and consistent quality -  regardless what mother nature throws at it.

My Big Beefs are solid meat all the way thru, fewer seeds, and great taste. Had a few problems with cracking at the tops but that was a small price to pay for such quality

I've grown this variety in the Mid Atlantic region for several years with great success. The only problem? My neighbor says he needs bigger bread to fit a slice in a tomato sandwich.
